At New Zealand Water Journeys, we collect information as part of the booking process to provide you with the very best service as possible. How ever you are more than welcome to browse our website without providing any personal information.

At the first point of contact with us we collect your name and contact details including but not limited to your email, telephone number and postal address. Once your booking is confirmed with us, we then request further detail of personal information so that we can provide you with an amazing journey through New Zealand’s waterways. The additional information may include your date of birth, emergency contact, dietary preferences and requirements, medical information, passport details and flight details. We only share your basic information when necessary with our guides and partners that will be providing a service to you during our tours. We do not share or sell any personal information relating to you, to third party companies or any other persons.  

Why We Collect Your Personal Information

We use this information to contact you in relation to your trip plans, to send occasional related emails, answer your requests for information and maintain our relationship with you.

We use the additional more detailed personal information you provide once you have booked a trip with us, to deliver a customised trip tailored to your specific needs. We obtain information about your physical health to ensure your personal health and safety is protected at all times throughout the trip. We pass dietary information on to your guides, hotels and restaurants ahead of time, so your needs can be accommodated. We use your passport and flight information to arrange necessary transportation before, during and after your trip with us, to ensure a seamless and hassle-free experience.
We do not send unsolicited emails. However, we may send you emails related to your booking and your trips with us.
We have an e-mail newsletter which is regularly updated. To sign up to receive it we ask you to provide us your name and email address. If you no longer wish to receive e-newsletters, you may opt out of them by unsubscribing using the link provided in the email.

Images & video

New Zealand Water Journeys and other chosen ground operators reserve the right to take photographs and videos during the operation of any Journey and use for promotional or commercial use.  All material on their website and other media coverage is copyrighted and cannot be used without permission. On making a reservation, the guest agrees to allow his/her likeness to be used by New Zealand Water Journeys and the other chosen operators without compensation to the guest. If the guest prefers that his/her likeness not be used he/she must notify New Zealand Water Journeys upon arrival of trip.

Security of your personal Information

We treat the security of personal information provided by clients with the greatest importance. However, you should be aware that there are always security issues surrounding the transmission of data on the internet. We ensure our clients that we use all available methods to ensure the privacy of your personal information, but we can not guarantee 100% security. We have implemented fire walls and other security measures in order to provide the highest level of security.

On our website you may find links to other sites, we try to only provide links that are reputable and share our ideals, how ever we cannot be responsible for the content or information collection of any site other than that of our own.  If you visit another site, you should familiarize yourself with their policies as they may differ from our own.
